Chennai: The Government of Tamil Nadu has announced a scheme to provide 13 groceries free of cost as corona relief materials in rations. A tender has been issued on behalf of Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation today.
Tenders have been issued for procurement of nearly 13 varieties of goods including wheat 1 kg, salt 1 kg, semolina 1 kg, sugar 500 g, ulundam dal 500 g, tamarind 250 g, turmeric powder 100 g, chilli powder 100 g, bath soap 1, washing soap 1, pepper cumin seeds etc.
It has been reported that these 13 items are scheduled to be delivered on June 3. 2000 relief is being provided as people are suffering from corona. The Chief Minister is expected to launch a scheme to provide this 13-product package to almost 2.11 crore ration card holders for nearly 2.11 crore ration card holders for all ration card holders after procurement by 19th of this tender.
