Nepal: K.P. Sharma Oli took over as prime minister of Nepal again on Friday.
The government lost its majority after Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda, the leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), withdrew his support to the Sharma Oli government. Subsequently, Sharma Oli stepped down.
At this stage, president Vidyadevi Bhandari had invited the communist (Maoist) parties of the opposition Nepal Congress and Prachanda to form a new government by Thursday night. Both parties failed to govern within the stipulated time.
Subsequently president of Nepal reappointed Sharma Oli as prime minister. As a result, Sharma Oli was sworn in as the 43rd Prime Minister of Nepal on Friday. He was accompanied by his ministers. However, within 30 days he must prove his majority in parliament.
