Aadhar number is not mandatory for corona vaccine and treatment, the Unique Identification Authority of India said
In a statement, the agency said, “No essential service should be denied because Aadhar is not available. There is an exception handling protocol in Aadhar protocol sit in the Aadhar code. If one does not have Aadhaar for other reasons, he should not be denied essential services as per Aadhaar act.”
Earlier, the statement was issued on behalf of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UNIQUE IDENTIFICATION AUTHORITY) denying reports in some media outlets that some essential services such as vaccination and hospital treatment were being denied services to the public on the ground that aadhaar was required.
