Bengaluru : Curfew has been imposed in Bengaluru due to the rapid spread of coronavirus. Due to this, buses, cars and autos are not running. Bengaluru usually runs heavily on the road every day. This will cause traffic jams everywhere. Government buses and autos will continue to smoke. This caused air pollution in Bengaluru.
Now that vehicles are not running due to curfew, air pollution in Bengaluru has come down drastically. Officials said air pollution has been reduced due to curfew for the past 20 days and vehicles running to a handful.
Accordingly, 65 per cent air pollution has been reduced in Bengaluru and this was revealed in a survey of Bengaluru city market, mysuru road, majestic, tumakuru road etc.
Srinivasalu said the air pollution in Bengaluru has now reduced due to the rise in air pollution and the rains in the last few days have reduced the construction work and the flow of dust along with the wind has also decreased.
