Bombay: The bank told the stock exchange on Tuesday: The bank’s personal total income during the January-March quarter of 2020-21 was Rs.21,522.60 crore. This is very high compared to the previous financial year 2019-20 with the bank’s revenue of Rs.14,222.39 crore.
The bank posted a personal net profit of Rs 1,010.87 crore in the March 2021 quarter, while the bank suffered a net loss of Rs 3,259.33 crore in the January-March 2020 quarter.
The allocation for bad loans decreased from Rs 4,875.28 crore to Rs 4,427.53 crore in the accounting quarter. The bank has earned a net profit of Rs.2,557.58 crore in the full financial year 2020-21.
At the Total bad debt increased from 8.21 per cent to 8.93 per cent. At the same time, the net bad debt ratio has come down from 4.22 per cent to 3.82 per cent, Canara Bank said.
Canara Bank share price fell by 4.52 per cent to Rs 146.65 in the Bombay stock exchange on Tuesday.
