The Government of India has ordered an increase in oxygen allocation to 419 MT for Tamil Nadu.
Earlier yesterday, Chief Minister MK Stalin wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking immediate additional oxygen supply to Tamil Nadu under the National Oxygen Programme.
In the letter, steps should be taken to ensure immediate availability of 476 MT of oxygen to Tamil Nadu. He also urged the Centre to provide 20 cryogenic containers and rail transport facilities to bring them in.
Similarly, Pitamar Modi had a telephone call with the chief ministers of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, where the corona-affected region is high today.
Even then, the Chief Minister also called for an increase in oxygen allocation to 500 MT for the state regarding the main demand of Tamil Nadu, oxygen.
Prime Minister Modi had also promised to consider it immediately. The Government of India has ordered an increase in oxygen allocation to 419 MT for Tamil Nadu
The Ministry of Public Health and Health has issued a statement in this regard. Out of this, 419 MT of oxygen will be supplied to Tamil Nadu. It is also explained in detail how it will be delivered.
