CHENNAI: “Corona infection scares and domestic isolations and his family will be fined if they come out of their homes and taken to corona safety centres,” Corporation Commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi said.
In this regard, he issued a press release: Two Zonal Enforcement Teams have been appointed to the Zone to take action against violators of corona infection prevention rules in chennai corporation.
The team is patrolling on a daily basis. Fines are collected from the public for violating the rules, ‘sealing’ shops and fines from the owners. The chances of increasing the infection are being isolated in the homes as per the advice of the doctors and we are meeting the basic requirements of food items and medicines required for them.
2,000 volunteers have been appointed for this purpose. Such arrangements have been made to prevent those who have been diagnosed with the infection and their families from leaving their homes. A few of the infected persons and their families are being reported to be leaving their homes. With this act, the spread of infection is likely to increase further.
Complaint can be filed: In view of the safety of the public, the infected persons, their families and doctors do not leave their homes till the days prescribed by the doctors. In spite of this, a fine of Rs.2,000 has been imposed for the first time and a second stay at corona security centre through the Regional Enforcement Wing of the Corporation of Chennai.
If such infected persons and their families come out, those nearby can file a complaint on 044 – 2538 4520. Realizing the severity of the infection, the public should cooperate with the corporation in its activities.
