The comedian passed away today after suffering a heart attack. He was 69.
Nellai Siva hails from Panagudi in Tirunelveli district. Born on January 16, 1952, Nellai Siva is an ardent fan of actor Tilakam Sivaji Ganesan. He came to Chennai to act because of his love for cinema. It was only after a series of struggles that he acted in Pandiarajan’s ‘Aan paavam’. This is his first film.
He has acted in more than 500 films including ‘Maha Prabhu’, ‘Vetrikodi Kattu’, ‘Kannam Kannum’, ‘Samy’, ‘Thirupachi’, ‘Anbe Sivam’, ‘Kiritam’, ‘Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikesi’, ‘Arai En 302il kadavul ‘, ‘Padikkathavan’, ‘Doranai’, ‘Kandasamy’, ‘Tamil padam’, ‘Giri’, ‘Papanasam’ and ‘Mridhan’. Some of his films are yet to be released. He also acted in serials.
He has acted in tamil speaking in Nellai and has joined the ranks of many comedians including Vadivelu and Vivek.
Nellai Siva, who has been acting in Tamil cinema for 35 years, passed away this evening due to a heart attack. His funeral will be held tomorrow at noon in his hometown of Panagudi.
