INDIA: The leading engineering and construction company, Larsen & Toubro (L&D) earned a total net profit of Rs 3,820 crore in the fourth quarter.
Larsen & Toubro Limited, commonly known as L&T, is an Indian multinational technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It was founded by two Danish engineers taking refuge in India.
The company is also counted in the list of world’s top 5 construction companies. The company has business interests in basic and heavy engineering, construction, realty, manufacturing of capital goods, information technology, and financial services.
The company told the stock exchange on Friday:The overall income earned by the company in the fourth quarter from January to March 2020-21 was Rs.49,116.16 crore. This is significantly higher compared to rs.44,905.76 crore earned by the company during the same period in the financial year 2019-20.
L&T said the company’s post-tax overall profit in the valuation quarter increased by 11.3 per cent from Rs 3,430.10 crore to Rs 3,820.16 crore.
