NEW DELHI: Comments were made in posters at several places in Delhi defaming Prime Minister Modi on the issue of vaccination. The poster raised several questions, including why you exported vaccines to our children abroad.
Last Wednesday/Thursday, 1800 posters were posted in Kalyanpuri, east of Delhi. Police investigations revealed that a local politician was behind it. Four persons were arrested in this connection. The next day posters were posted at several places in Delhi.
Police received a complaint from various quarters about the same. Police registered several cases in this regard and arrested 25 persons in connection with the poster. They were booked in bailable sections. Most of them were released yesterday afternoon. Others were released at night after legal proceedings were over.
Police are investigating whether all the posters were printed in the same press or whether one or the political party asked them to print. In the investigation of some of those arrested, they did not give proper information.
Others said they had been paid for putting up the poster. Subsequently, police are investigating who paid the money. This will reveal who will be behind the poster, top officials said.
