The minimum support price during the current Rabi market season has increased by 35 per cent over the same period last year.
During the Rabi season 2021-22, it is going smoothly in the northern states.
341.77 lakh MT has been done till 10th. Only 252.51 lakh Metric Tonnes were made during the same period last year. About 34.57 lakh farmers have received minimum support price of Rs 67,499.98 crore through Rabi.
The first procurement of kharif paddy 2020-21 continues to be smooth. 732.74 lakh Metric Tonnes of paddy has been made in combination with Kharif and Rabi crop. About 109.75 lakh farmers have received a minimum support price of Rs.1,38,341.11 crore.
Further, 107.37 lakh Metric Tonnes of pulses and oilseeds have also been sanctioned during Kharif and Rabi season as per the request of the States.
Till 10th, the Government has made 6,51,493.99 MT of moss dal, ulundam dal, Mysore dal, groundnut, mustard and soybeans at a minimum support price of Rs.3,414.20 crore.
5089 MT of copra coconut has been made from 3961 farmers of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka at a cost of Rs.52.40 crores till 10th.
