Fenugreek is rich in fibre (50 per cent). They reduce sugar in the blood and urine of diabetics and high cholesterol in the blood. This is in cooked and uncooked fenugreek seeds.

Fenugreek leaves do not have the above disease reducing properties. The amount of fenugreek to be consumed varies from 25 g to 50 g depending on the amount of sugar and cholesterol in the blood. In the early days, 25 grams of fenugreek seeds can be taken daily at two jobs, 12.5 grams per job (approximately two teaspoons) along with two main foods, breakfast and dinner.
