Meanwhile, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and his wife and Hindi actress Anushka Sharma decided to raise Rs 7 crore online in collaboration with the charity ‘Ghetto’ to provide necessary medical assistance and corona prevention awareness work to corona-affected people. Both of them had made video appeals for everyone to join the fundraising effort and make whatever donation you could. They also launched the initiative by donating Rs 2 crore as their contribution.
Virat Kohli’s efforts to raise funds for corona relief work have yielded more than expected results. So far, a relief fund of Rs.11.39 lakhs 11,820 has been collected. The group consists of people from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. He has shared his request for help through Twitter in his WhatsApp group and is taking steps to resolve it. The volunteer steam is involved in providing facilities including hospital beds, oxygen and food for the treatment of corona victims.
