BJP Leader and Ex Governor of puducherry MRS.Tamilisai Soundararajan responds to the controversy of doordarshan logo change.She stated that “saffron is symbol of sacrifice”.
She also responds to the speech by TN Chief minister M.K.Stalin during his election campaign regarding Doordharshan logo change. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed concern, saying, “The BJP’s agenda of saffronizing everything, as we stated in the election manifesto, is evident in this move.”
Tamilisai Soundararajan, has responded to the Chief Minister’s statement. She said, “The name ‘Akashvani’ was given to Doordarshan by Congress. It was Congress that named All India Radio as ‘Akashvani’. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin should understand this first.”
By concluding her speech she stated that “saffron is the color of sacrifice, and prioritizing saffron in the national flag is not wrong. Changing the name ‘DD Podhigai’ to ‘DD Tamil’ and thus giving credit to Tamil Nadu is something to be appreciated.
